Evie had her 6 month today - they gave her shots for her six month and went ahead and gave her the 9 month old shots too. Needless to say - toady has been all about tylenol! Evie weighed 17 lbs. and she is 27 inches long! Everything is good and we got the go ahead to get stage 2 food. Evie is drinking lots of water our pediatrician wants her to be completely done with the bottle in a few months - she wants Evie to either be drinking from a sippie cup or a cup with a straw. We have tried the sippie cup - she can hold it and drink from it - but because she is teething she wants to chew on the sippie part instead of drinking. Maybe we will just try a cup and straw! We'll post pictures soon of her trying this out.
We are leaving for the beach tomorrow so we will post pictures when we get back in a week of her first trip to the beach! YEAH! ohhh...and for those moms who have to use the swimmers diaper - Target now has a little bikini bathing suit where the bottoms have a built in cloth diaper - so you just have to rinse it out each day - it's a lot cheaper than having to buy those swim diapers they are so expensive and this little suit is only like 5 bucks. ....

Hey everyone! I caved in and bought a new digital camera. So I took Evie over to an old historical mansion nearby and took her 6 month (well 6 and a half month) portraits. Here are only a few of over 300 pics that I shot. I haven't doctored these pics in any way - they are straight off the camera. When I have time to adjust a few with lighting. color, etc. I will repost them. We had fun - if any of you want me to do pictures for you just let me know - I LOVE THIS NEW CAMERA!
Evie can now sit by herself for several minutes at a time and she is walking all over the place in her walker - we are having to baby proof the house at only 6 months!! She loves to stand and will do that holding on to things for about a minute or so before she "pops, locks, and drops it". Here are her current dance moves...above is Evie doing the sprinkler (a popular dance move for those of caucasian decent) and below she is "raising the roof" in her mirror. The other pictures are of her standing by herself (don't worry, mom and grammy were within falling distance).
