Hi everyone! We are asking for prayer for Evie's heart. Today at her second doctors appointment the doctor heard a heart murmur and refered us to a cardiologist. Right now we are not overly worried because her grandmother (Leesa) has a mild heart murmur and these kind of things are hereditary. We are scheduled to go to the cardiologist next wed. Dec. 27th. Please pray that this murmur would be insignificant or even just go away by then. And that Evie would continue to be a healthy baby girl with a strong healthy heart.
Good news that we got from the doctor is that her jaundice seems to have gone away and she has gained back some of the weight that she had lost since birth. She was born 8 lbs. but at our first doctor visit she weighed in at 7 lbs. 6 0z. so the doctor put us on a supplement. Today she weighed in at 7 lbs. 14 oz. - which the doctor said was good (apparently they want them to gain an ounce a day.)
Evie continues to be the sweetest mild tempered baby, she rarely cries and she has already started holding up her head for little spurts at a time! She makes the best faces and every now and then hints at a smile. We love her so much and praise God for her every day!
