Jingle Jerks?

so we usually call people who put up their decorations before thanksgiving Jingle Jerks. This means that they go from one gimmie holiday to the next with no time to stop and be thankful. Well...this year Tommy and I were jingle jerks. In fact - I think we led the jingle jerk pack. We put up our Christmas stuff Nov. 1. We just didn't want to have to worry about it here in December with baby coming any day. So since Halloween night our neighbors have stared in shock at the Christmas decor and tsked and shook their heads.....what a relief Thanksgiving was - now everyone would have their decor up. And boy have they put some stuff up - just about every house has some kind of fake reindeer, blow up Santa Claus, twinkling light or garland. I was really impressed and then I started to notice that the decorations keep growing and growing - if one house puts out a small reindeer - the house next to it puts out steriod enhanced reindeer. I began to think - did Tommy and I create a ripple effect in time by putting out our decorations early? - did we somehow throw the gauntlet of Christmas decor challenge down?- were we going to be to blame for the losing of the reason of the season?
And then I heard from a neighbor...Our homeowner's association is actually giving a prize out this year to the best Christmas decorated home...ha ha ha ha....well we probably disqualified ourselves by having ours out so early...the neighbors just view us now as really competitive.

Anyway - here are some pictures of our home at Christmas.
